Using the theme of being on a journey, the art is based on the leitmotif of compass orientation. The compass symbolises a grand order – the power of the poles and perfect geometry of the universe. ‘Navigating life’ is a metaphor for negotiating opportunities and challenges. The colour circle is also a perfect whole, with a fixed place for each colour. The compass and colour circle fuse in the art, creating orientation points and order for the hospital patients and staff.
